Merkel adds her voice to China critics and calls for transparency

As part of a series of international criticisms leveled against China over the way it has dealt with the emerging Coronavirus, German Chancellor Angela Merkel called on the Chinese government to "show the greatest transparency" about how the epidemic originated.

As for China, it has repeatedly denied the accusations, and Chinese Foreign Ministry spokesman Zhao Li Jian said, It is imperative that all countries unite to fight the epidemic and win the war against Coved-19.

China on Monday rejected Australia's call to investigate how the crisis could be managed, especially by the Chinese authorities.
